Expat business breakfast «How US and EU sanctions will impact your business in Russia?»

10.02.2022

On March 10, 2022 in St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry the business breakfast dedicated to the impact of sanctions on business will be held.

The current sanctions, as well as a new wave of sanctions that are being prepared against Russia, of course, affect the business of foreign investors and suppliers working with Russian companies. The countries of the EU and the USA provide for administrative and criminal liability for violation of the sanctions legislation, the guilty foreign individuals and legal entities must compensate for the harm without limiting the amount. The foreign companies are worried about how to make work in Russia as safe as possible. Russian companies are troubled: they can lose a foreign supplier or partner just because of the sanctions.

Indeed, the consequences of sanctions may affect the performance of contractual obligations by suppliers in Russia. How to minimize risks? We will talk about what should be done for this at our meeting, and the foreign entrepreneurs will be able to express their opinion and share their experience, get comments and advice from the Unicomlegal Russia lawyers specializing in these issues.

The event is implemented on the basis of the INCROBB project within the framework of the South-Eastern Finland-Russia CBC Program 2014-2020 with the support of the St. Petersburg Committee for Labor and Employment and is funded by the European Union, the Russian Federation and Finland.
